About UsThe story so far

I have always been fascinated by people, what motivates them, what makes them different, what makes them change, what makes them successful, what makes them tick.

This fascination started from a young age. As a child, I have fond memories of sitting on the bench in the local shopping centre with my dad watching people go by. We would make up stories about why they were in such a hurry, why they looked so happy or sad, what they were saying to one another.

As an adult this fascination has taken me in lots of different directions. I have always worked in jobs that are about helping people achieve their full potential; I have studied philosophy and psychology; trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and meta-coaching; read as much as I could about what makes people successful and just carried on watching people.

All the time I was looking for a simple formula. Then one morning, a few years ago, I was in the shower (where I get all my best ideas) and I realised it was staring me in the face. What made successful people successful, and happy people happy was not some mystical gift or innate genius. It was not about money, or circumstances. It was so much simpler than that. The difference that made the difference everywhere I looked was how they trained their brains to think.

We cannot not think, but some ways of thinking are more helpful than others.

Thus thebraintrain.co.uk left the station, with one destination in mind – to help people identify what success means to them, and then train their brains to think in a way that gives them the best possible chance of achieving it.

Thank you for choosing to travel with us today.
